Same old, same old
Looks like the city council is going to hold a special session on Monday to pass the Freight House, skate park mess. Brooke was quoted in the times as saying that if they don't get the state grant they'll stop the project. Yea right. When someting goes from a $2 million project to a $34+million project, it's classic Tuna. I'm not a betting man, but, I'd be willing to bet if they pass this it will get built. And if the grant doesn't go through, they'll still build it. When you ask for a grant of over 40% of the total cost you are doomed to fail, and they know this. If this goes through it just tells me it's business as usual. Same shit, different players.

All this going on and the cops are spread really thin with only 3 fights in town. First shift cops are being put on overtime to quell the dispute. Now Queen of Denial, do you still want to get rid of cops. Wait until it warms up.
Since when is that her idea? She wanted to keep all the cops, and all the taxes/fees.
I think it's her fault as much as Brooke's because she's the one saying "I told you so" when she voted for all this in the last administration. Sh eis guilty by association. Wait until this $940,000 bond referendum comes up Monday or Tuesday and you'll see. There has to be a sensible way to cut the pork without involving public safety. The stormwater fee is a hoax and they all know it. The only reason for the fee was to cover the budget.
