I changed things around a bit, and added a few things. It's as new to me as it is to you, but I think it'll work. As usual I'll try to have a variety of topics, but come summer there will be more postings about car events. You can email me at cruisaholic@hotmail.com Keep the shiny side up!

Ethics

Well we have a special Council meeting tommorrow, and people already know the results. Another Mayoral override. Why the city wants to rent it's own property is beyond me. If we don't have the money to do away with the stormwater fee, how can we have money for this? Since politicians know it's next to impossible to get them out of office until election time they continue to pander to the money.
We heard the skybridge would bring in hundreds of thousands of people; where are they? The parking ramps are a joke, no figures released for RME or the Figge, the River Center continues to be a money pit. If you want to keep people in this city, and state, get rid of these pork barrel, pink elephant, money losers and fix the streets and crime rate. Drop your salary as a show of good faith to reduce cost and get busy doing something people really want. Run the city like you do have ethics.

There are ethics here. If you think things are sooooo bad move. I think if you lived in any city in the country you would have the same gripes. Run for office and see how easy it is.

I would move in a heartbeat if I could take my house with me. I have no desire to enter the corrupt world of politics. I have held office in local car clubs and that is enough for me. I have lived in this area for over 50 years and every year it gets worse.
I don't believe there are ethics in local government, or the blatant lying would stop. When my house is paid down, and we retire, I won't be here, and I can't think of anything I would miss as I can access the internet from anywhere. To paraphrase "Don't blame me, I voted for Nicki".
