children treated like trash

In some recent national news I ran accross a story about a newborn found in an abandoned lot in a town south of Boston. A baby boy less than 24 hours old and now in serious condition with possible frostbite and dehydration. Sunday night when he was left in a trash bag it got down to 40 degrees. Another woman uses her baby as a weapon to beat her boyfriend, the one month old suffered head injuries and bleeding on the brain. Then on the news at 6, a story of a local woman who tried to sell her 4 year old son to pay for a wedding dress.

I can't even begin to rationalize why these women would do these things, or what circumstances caused these irrational behaviors. All I can say is that they should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. They should get the harshest sentence allowed by law, and should never be allowed custody of their children again.
