I changed things around a bit, and added a few things. It's as new to me as it is to you, but I think it'll work. As usual I'll try to have a variety of topics, but come summer there will be more postings about car events. You can email me at cruisaholic@hotmail.com Keep the shiny side up!

Krisher wrecks

There was a bunch of excitement today at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals in Indy when Ron Krisher rolled this car twice and then hit the wall at over 180 mph. A Lifeflight helicopter was on standby but after the flames were extinguished he was taken out of the car and stood on his own. The chute opened on the first roll and helped slow the car and maybe saved Ron's life. The safety crew at O'Reilly Raceway Park should be commended for getting to him within seconds of the crash. Krisher hails from Warren, Ohio. In a bit of irony his wife was watching from the staging lanes.

It looked bad on tv and with Ron being in his mid to late 50s it had to hurt. He got another bit of good news when Valvoline signed for the sponsorship for next year too.

I know what you mean. Each track must have their own policy because some of them do some strange stuff with their safety crews.
