The Quad City Ignitors held their all Ford cruise tonight at Checker's on Blackhawk Road in Rock Island. While it was a smaller cruise-in, for a small start-up club it had some impressive cars. There were Mustangs, of course, a Cobra, a Torino Cobra, a couple of street rods, a few 56' Fords, a retractable, and the only 37' Lincoln Zepher I've ever seen. I'm sorry I didn't take my camera. The Lincoln had a V-12 flathead engine.
Tomorrow the Village of East Davenport will host the tractor show. It always seems to get a little hectic this time of year because most guys put their toys in storage before the first snow. I get mine ready for winter. As soon as I hunt up a heater core and fix some wiring gremlins I'll be ready for another winter.
The motorcycle show and swap meet is September 1, 2, and 3. I was informed I had wrong by someone in the club that hosts the show and I appologize for any inconvience this may have caused.
I changed things around a bit, and added a few things. It's as new to me as it is to you, but I think it'll work. As usual I'll try to have a variety of topics, but come summer there will be more postings about car events. You can email me at cruisaholic@hotmail.com Keep the shiny side up!
