Recently on his blog Charlie Daniels, of country music fame, wrote a controversial opinion about illegal aliens. Known for not pulling punches, this doesn't dissapoint his fans. The link is here.
Another take on illegal aliens is in this report about Los Angeles. Go here for the story.
And lastly, the woman I love to hate, Cindy Sheehan. Seems she got a cool quarter of a million dollars when her son was killed, and she still doesn't have a marker on his grave. Man, that sucks. Anyway, for that story go here.
I changed things around a bit, and added a few things. It's as new to me as it is to you, but I think it'll work. As usual I'll try to have a variety of topics, but come summer there will be more postings about car events. You can email me at cruisaholic@hotmail.com Keep the shiny side up!

Are you suggesting that Cindy Sheehan doesn't care about her son or his death? Are you actually trying to imply that Cindy Sheehan really isn't too broke up about her son getting shipped home in a box?
If so, you're a truly sad lemming who is perfectly willing to believe the unbelievable if it seems to back up your political views.
You know damn well that her heart was torn out by the needless death of her son, as anyone's would be, and to even try to suggest that a lack of headstone on her son's grave is some indication that she really doesn't care is simply callous, ridiculous, and frankly a little creepy and stupid.
Nice try at vilifying a courageous woman that is actually doing something to stop a war she feels is needlessly killing thousands. This country would be better off if more people had the courage of their convictions rather that sitting back and trying to make a true patriot out to be some sort of unfeeling monster.
You should be ashamed at being so easily duped.
If you have a problem defending the disasterous and needless war, the thousands of deaths and hundreds of billions in squandered tax dollars, then consider changing your views. Don't attack someone who has lost a child and is trying to do what she can to stop the carnage.
Do you steal candy from little kids too?
Shoot the messenger for the message. I have lost a child, she has a headstone, and I am a Veteran who lost many friends in another unpopular war. The fact that there is no headstone proves she doesn't care. As far as her being courageous, I think you need counseling. If she cared more about protesting than anything else, that's not courageous, that's obsessive. I am not easily duped, ask anyone who has does business with me, or a telemarketer who has called me. I support any war and our veterans, who are truely courageous and deserve to be called so. When a law has to be passed to stop protesters from disrupting a military funeral, I think these nuts need to be reeled in. You cannot support the troops and not the war. Start showing respect for others who don't share your right wing views and you will be treated with respect. And I haven't stolen any candy in quite a while.
I must say that comment is the thing I disagree with most out of anything you've ever said Cruiser. Why is it not possible to support the troops without supporting the war? I think even most QCFIST people would admit that it's possible to support the troops without agreeing with the administration's actions. Bringing up the guy who disrupts funerals has nothing to do with Cindy Sheehan either, as he's not a war protestor, he's an anti-gay protestor.
I may agree to an extent that Cindy Sheehan has some problems, but I just have a hard time believing that she doesn't care that her son died. Despite what Fox News tells you, she's not the devil...
There wouldn't be any troops to talk about without the war. People don't talk about heroics during basic training. The job of the troops is war, the military's main purpose isn't to keep the machinery clean, that's why they have weapons. Also, for I think the first time in our history, we have an all volunteer force. A lot of these young people volunteered after the skirmish began.
That being said, I have no problem with QCFIST. They are a great bunch of people.
