I changed things around a bit, and added a few things. It's as new to me as it is to you, but I think it'll work. As usual I'll try to have a variety of topics, but come summer there will be more postings about car events. You can email me at cruisaholic@hotmail.com Keep the shiny side up!

Monkey"s running the zoo

It's all over but the crying. The committee of the whole hath spoken. Nothing to be gained by firing workers, so do it anyway. Tie the Freight House into the skatepark into centenial park and the price jumps from $2 million to $15 million. Not a penny saved, a lot spent, nothing resolved. Standing room only with nobody on the council listening to a word said by the tax paying public. I suppose Tuesday they'll pass the $940,000 bond referendum to pay the interest on what is owed on the last round of outrageous spending. Watching all this unfold, priceless! Happy to see some of the council members be short with the press. When push comes to shove, can they handle the pressure?

I am so glad I live in Bettendorf. You poor people will being pay more tax than a New York City denizen by the time Davenport One and the great downtown money-eating machine gets done with you.

The sooner the council figures out that the closest point we have have with bigger cities is higher crime the better. This is exactly why we're losing an average of 120 per year.
