How is it when a guy can throws a dog in a canal, it's a felony with up to a 5 year prison term, but another guy can sexually molest a 4 year old girl, and the maximum sentence is 4 years. Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture.
Our County Attorney says the death penalty is no detriment to serious crimes. Maybe we ought to rethink some laws. What's wrong with taking someone like this Bently dude and giving him the death penalty. If there is DNA proof and a jury finds them guilty, why not take them right from the courtroom, take them to the nearest outside wall, allow 30 minutes to draw a crowd, and shoot them. If that's not a detriment to crime, you tell me what is.
With Davenport having a crime rate above the National average, isn't it about time we tell these Judges, who we pay six figure incomes, to get off the pity pot and help the police get the bad guys off our streets?
